Another week, another round up.
However, next week I will instead be releasing my gift guide. So if you miss out on Black Friday deals, need ideas, or just want to keep it independent, this guide will be for you.
This year I’ll be concentrating on independents, covering a range of gift ideas. Food, booze, whatever pops into my head, or into my inbox. Oh and suggestions are welcome, so if you have any ideas to add to the list, drop me a message, or comment on this post!
For now though, let’s see what events have been announced this week!
The Frost Fair at the Whitworth is back for 2021. Held on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 December, 11am till 7pm the fair will take over the grounds of The Whitworth and promises music, entertainment, workshops plus an outdoor cinema, huge dancefloor, craft markets and street food. Phew! Along with all the goodies to eat, drink and buy, the Sculpture Terrace located at the front entrance of the gallery will be transformed into an entertainment square, hosting the main stage and the largest outdoor dancefloor in the city! The full program can be found on the website, here.
Over in Stretford we have our own wreath making session at Stretford Foodhall with local florist Flower Candy. Costing £49 (which includes a glass of fizz, and everything you need) it’s being held on 7 December. Details can be found on the website (along with everything else going on) here.
Speaking of food halls, the latest in the Foodhall family has opened in Sale. Following the same format as Stretford, you’ll find an ever cycling array of street food on offer, good beer, and drinks, along with the retail space offering groceries and sustainable shopping too. Oh and they too are doing a wreath making session, but this one is on 30 November. You can see everything going on here.
Menagerie have announced their Christmas menu. Enjoy a two course festive menu, plus Christmas cocktail for just £35 per person every Monday – Wednesday (12 noon – 9pm) in December. This covers parties of up to six guests. If cocktails aren’t your thing, then don’t worry, you can swap it for a glass of house wine, glass of prosecco, beer, or soft drink.
