A couple of weeks ago (I can’t believe it’s been that long!), I drove those of you who follow me on twitter and on Facebook mad.
I was in London, at the Mercure London Bridge Hotel, taking part in a blogger challenge. We looked at reach via social media and a series of challenges which included me connecting someone in Timbuktu (despite discovering Timbuktu Media, Timbuktu Publishing and Timbuktu the band, this proved pretty difficult) and a bunch of you taking selfies with the below hashtag written on your faces.
I owe you all gin. Or Haribo. Or both.
Despite my efforts, I failed and the winner was the lovely Laura Hyatt who will now go on to judge entries into the Six Friends Theory competition. And this, dear readers, is where you can enter to win the trip of a lifetime. And believe me, when I say I would love it to be one of you.
Entry is easy. Create a video – a minute or less in length – and post it on Mercure’s Facebook page and in it describe yourself – you, your passions, your loves, and, most importantly, why you are the best friend in the world. Do it with words, song, visually, with your friends, with your imagination.
Once the video has been posted, the top fifty will go through to the final stage, where a six-person jury (featuring Laura) will select the winner.
The winner will be given the opportunity to travel the world, and prove the “The Six Friends Theory” exists, through six meetings, six journeys and six Mercure hotels around the world in a 30-day trip planned for March 2015.
It looks incredible.
So what are you waiting for? You only have until 10 February!
As part of the competition entered by myself and 15 other bloggers were invited to London. Our accommodation, dinner and drinks were covered at the expense of Mercure Hotels. Thank you Mercure for a lovely stay and good luck to all who enter the competition.
