Yes, I’m saying it. It’s 1st December and all things Christmassy are go.
So just like last year, I’ll be doing reviews, giveaways and I have set up my Pinterest boards for all things boozy, beauty and foodie.
As usual, I’ll keep adding and adding to these until they become a smorgasboard of gifts – and if you have any suggestions, please send them my way!
The titles are pretty self explanatory! But here I’ve started pinning all things alcoholic. From advent calendars to gin cufflinks, there’s a little bit of something for everyone who likes a tipple.
Personal favourites so far include the Gin Baubles from Pickerings Gin, the gorgeous gift set from Daffy’s Gin and the Margarita cocktail decorations from PaperChase – which along with the gin baubles are now in my house ready for the tree!
*Note: a little birdie tells me that Pickerings are all out of their baubles. But if you’re desperate for something boozy for the tree, have a look at the board, I’ve popped some other ideas on there!
And subscription boxes like Gin Explorer and Wishky are great choices.
Now, I haven’t included bottles of spirits on this, after all if you want gin suggestions you can have a nosey at my Gin Pokemon board, but you can always drop me a message/tweet and I’ll happily make suggestions for the booze lover in your life (or even what you should be asking Santa to bring).
Again, pretty self explanatory – everything from baking to barbecue to knives and gadgets. So far, favourites include anything from IO Shen (seriously, knives to die for, recommended by chefs the world over), there’s a German baking book that all but has my name on it (hint, hint) and goodies from Gift of Oil – which I may just be treating myself to this year.
If it’s lessons you fancy, check out the bread baking classes from Bakerie in Manchester and sessions with Food Sorcery in Didsbury, and Cheshire Cookery School in Altrincham. Very much worth a nosey.
And a new one for this year – a board of beauty. From make up, to bubble baths, to perfume and aftershave, I’m trying to bring a little bit of everything for those who like a Christmas full of pampering.
Now I know beauty can be a tricky one, lots of us have our own tastes in colour, style and brands, but for me some essentials include Tweezerman kits, manicure kits, good brushes are always welcome too. Oh and as it’s me, just about anything by Nyx.
And nobody minds a set of smellies do they? Even if you only use it in January when you’re skint and it saves you buying shower gel, bubble bath and body lotion for a few weeks.
I’ve picked some favourites, some that are on my wish list, and some that I know others have recommended to me.
So there you go. Three boards that I’ll keep jamming full of goodies all the way through til the bitter end, er I mean last minute shop on Christmas Eve.
